Elections\u00a0will be conducted from 15 August 202<\/span><span data-ogsc=\"black\">6<\/span><span data-ogsc=\"rgb(45, 48, 48)\">\u00a0to 15 September 202<\/span><span data-ogsc=\"black\">6<\/span><span data-ogsc=\"rgb(45, 48, 48)\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span data-ogsc=\"rgb(45, 48, 48)\">We need 4\u00a0candidates for 2 positions<\/span><span data-ogsc=\"black\">\u00a0in 2026<\/span><span data-ogsc=\"rgb(45, 48, 48)\">.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span data-ogsc=\"black\">In 2027, we will\u00a0need 14 candidates for 7 positions.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span data-ogsc=\"rgb(45, 48, 48)\">Please consider nominating yourself if interested and willing to serve on the Executive Council.\u00a0Positions are for a three-year term.\u00a0 The VP\/President Elect serves one year as VP, one year as President, and one year as Immediate Past President.\u00a0 According to our Constitution, we need two candidates for each of the following positions:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\" data-ogsc=\"rgb(45, 48, 48)\"><span data-ogsc=\"\">VP\/President Elect<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\" data-ogsc=\"rgb(45, 48, 48)\"><span data-ogsc=\"\">Executive Council Position #<\/span><span data-ogsc=\"black\">1<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><b><span data-ogsc=\"rgb(45, 48, 48)\">Steps to Nominate<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span data-ogsc=\"black\">1.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ogsc=\"rgb(45, 48, 48)\">Contact the individual you wish to nominate to see if they are willing to serve on the Executive Council<\/span><span data-ogsc=\"black\">\u00a0for a specific\u00a0position<\/span><span data-ogsc=\"rgb(45, 48, 48)\">.\u00a0 Candidates must be AGSS members.\u00a0 Feel free to nominate yourself.\u00a0 Descriptions of the tasks assigned to these positions are found in the Constitution.\u00a0 It is assumed that members of the EC will make an attempt to attend the annual conference to participate in the annual Executive Council Meeting<\/span><span data-ogsc=\"black\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span data-ogsc=\"black\">2.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ogsc=\"rgb(45, 48, 48)\">Send the name, university or professional affiliation, and e-mail address of the nominee to\u00a0<a title=\"mailto:mrhall@georgiasouthern.edu\" href=\"mailto:mrhall@georgiasouthern.edu\" data-linkindex=\"0\" data-ogsc=\"\">mrhall@georgiasouthern.edu\u00a0<\/a>before 1\u00a0August 202<\/span><span data-ogsc=\"black\">6.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span data-ogsc=\"black\">3.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ogsc=\"rgb(45, 48, 48)\">Election ballots will be available by 15 August 202<\/span><span data-ogsc=\"black\">6<\/span><span data-ogsc=\"rgb(45, 48, 48)\">\u00a0and members will have until 15 September 202<\/span><span data-ogsc=\"black\">6<\/span><span data-ogsc=\"rgb(45, 48, 48)\">\u00a0to cast their votes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span data-ogsc=\"black\">4.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ogsc=\"rgb(45, 48, 48)\">Election results will be announced at the annual conference in<\/span><span data-ogsc=\"black\">\u00a0Brazil in October<\/span><span data-ogsc=\"rgb(45, 48, 48)\">.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>2026 AGSS Executive Council Call for Nominations The Call for Nominations will be from 1\u00a0June 2026\u00a0to 1 August\u00a02026.
